About

This blog is dedicated to my amazing mother Alice Muscarella. My mother died on January 12, 2006. In May of 2010 I started this blog to share my mother’s wisdom. I love writing it. I love meeting the people it leads me to.
Losing my mother, let’s be frank, sucked. I miss her all the time. I am so grateful to have this outlet to share stories about what made her so special. Even as I write it, I’m not sure there is enough I can do to show what a positive and lasting impression she made on this world. My best attempt came in the form of a eulogy that I gave for her five years after her funeral.
Thank you so much for checking out my blog.
Much love,
Lauren

  2. Hi Lauren! Didn’t know you had this blog until I saw it on FB. i also lost my mom to cancer when i was a college sophomore (15 years now). excited to keep reading what you’re so much bolder to do than the rest of us. πŸ™‚ some of us just maintain travel blogs instead – since traveling is my way of escaping the truth, i suppose!

    • Nice blog theme! πŸ˜‰ (I just took a look at your blog.) I’m adding it to my list. Looks like a lot of fun!

Thank you for your note! It is very sweet. Any and all of the support I receive is what allows me to be bold, so keep the feedback coming. Stay in touch, and congrats on the new job! πŸ™‚
